Musician Matchmaker Series

The MBC will host another musician matchmaker event, but this semester will transform into a series of events. Led by Career Development and Networking chair Lilly Rogers and Live Events chair Ellie Brown, this event will help bring local musicians together in an effort to form bands.

The musician matchmaker series will begin on Nov. 3, where any musician is encouraged to join a round of speed-dating style conversation. In this first event, musicians will be able to find others with a similar style, experience, and goal. The musicians will then create a band with the people that they connect with.

The second event in this series is a songwriter event on Nov. 10. By then all of the musicians will be sorted into bands. Rogers will then lead them through a workshop designed to give all of the bands an original song.

The final event will be hosted at the Ramskeller where each band created from the past two events will showcase their skills by performing covers and at least one original song.

The times, dates and locations for each event are listed below:

Band matchmaker event: Nov. 3 at 6 p.m. in Rockwell W 105

Songwriting event: Nov. 10 at 6 p.m. in Rockwell W 105

Matchmaker showcase: Dec. 3 at 5 p.m. in the Ramskeller, 1101 Center Ave Mall, Fort Collins, Colo.
